She and Todd celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on June 25, 2024. Lorna was born on September 23, 1964, to the late Edward Gay and Dorothy Jean Day Fields. She was a graduate of East High School in Columbus, IN. After high school, she and her family moved to Piedmont, SC where Lorna began her lifelong career in childcare; touching and developing the lives of so many. While developing her professional career, Lorna started a correspondence with her future husband, Todd of Rock Falls, IL. After a whirlwind romance, they were married in 1994 and she relocated to Sterling, IL. Lorna lovingly embraced Todd's two children from a previous marriage, Michael and Christine.
