David "Dave" Michael Keeley Born: June 24, 1944 in Dixon, IL Died: August 10, 2024 in Dixon, IL David "Dave" Michael Keeley, 80, of Dixon, IL died Saturday, August 10, 2024, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Dave was born June 24, 1944, in Dixon to Wayne and Esther (Swartz) Keeley and grew up in Dixon where he played basketball and tennis at Dixon High School. After graduating from Dixon High School in 1962, he was appointed to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. Following his graduation from the Academy, Dave married his high school sweetheart Adrienne Benson on June 25, 1966, his loving partner for the next 58 years. Dave served as an officer in the Air Force for the next six years. He served at multiple bases in Oklahoma, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Illinois. He spent a year in Thailand during the Vietnam War from 1968-69. He was proud of his service in the Air Force, and he and Adrienne attended several reunions of his class at the Academy.
