John J. Haefner Born: November 4, 1962 in Sterling, IL Died: July 3, 2024 in Oregon, IL John J. Haefner age 61 of Sterling and formerly of Dixon died Friday June 28, 2024 at Serenity Hospice in Oregon. He was born Nov. 4, 1962 in Sterling the son of Donald and Margorie (Apple) Haefner. John had worked at Edelmanns in Dixon for 28 years and had also been a Volunteer for the Franklin Grove Fire Dept. for 8 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother Mike, a sister in infancy and his step father Don Gallagher. John is survived by 4 sisters, Lynn Mall of Mendota, JoAnn (James) Mull, Sandra (John) Carrington and Cynthia (Martin) Neyrinck all of Dixon, He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, newphews and his special pet Luke. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday July 8, 2024 11:00 AM at St Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon. Burial of cremains will be in Prairie Repose Cemetery in Amboy. Visitation will be on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church. M
