Zamarripa, age 85, of Goldsboro, NC, formerly of Sterling, died May 9, 2024 in Greenville, NC. Genaro was born September 19, 1938 in McAllen, TX, the son of Rogelio and Maria Guadalupe (Salas) Zamarripa. He married Esther Gomez on April 30, 1960 in Moline. She preceded him in death on January 6, 2019. Genaro was employed at Northwestern Steel and Wire for over 40 years, most recently working as a recorder. He is survived by three children, Alan (Dawn) Zamarripa of Rock Falls, Shari (Terry) Irwin of Rock Falls, and Jeffrey Zamarripa of WI; seven grandchildren, Jonathan (Janice Borum) Irwin, Jason (Laura) Irwin, Jordan Meyer, Patrick McCabe, Melissa Zamarripa, Tiffany Zamarripa, and Alex Gliesner; fourteen great grandchildren, Cameron, Quentin, Kassidy, Mackenzie, Alexander, Nolan, Slade, David, Jashon, Jai'Vian, Ava, Jovanni, Novalee and Jade; and several sibling
