Stephen Glenn Nichols Born: May 5, 1940 in Sterling, Illinois Died: June 22, 2024 in Sterling, Illinois Stephen Glenn Nichols, 84 of Rock Falls died Saturday June 22, 2024 at Rock River Hospice & Home. He was born on May 8, 1940 in Sterling the son of Glenn Arthur and Emma Jane (Pfundstein) Nichols. He was a 1958 graduate of Rock Falls High School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1963-1967. He married Mary (Woodson) Allen on April 16, 1977 in Rock Falls. He was employed as a Medical Laboratory Technician for over 30 years, retiring in 2005 from Mercy Medical Center in Clinton. He had enjoyed cooking, reading, painting and bowling and was a member of the Rock Falls United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary; son, Robert (Cheryl) Allen of Sterling; son in law, Mark Ward of Prophetstown; brother, Terry (Bonnie) Nichols of Dixon; sister, Annie (Harry) Vroman of Rock Falls; grandchildren: Dr. Meghan Ward, Ethan Ward, Austin Allen, Chandler Allen, Nathan
